The Community Crisis Center helps those in crisis due to domestic violence, sexual assault, or economic circumstances. We offer the following services: a 24-hour crisis hotline and information and referral; emergency shelter; individual and group counseling; medical, legal and welfare advocacy; emergency assistance with food, clothing, rent and utilities; and transitional housing.

IWT operates Maria Shelter, a 50-bed transitional shelter for homeless women and their children. Llocated in the Englewood community of Chicago.

The Maryville Crisis Nursery provides short term care for children of families who are experiencing a severe disruptive crisis and/or are challenged with an urgent family matter. Children ages newborn through six years are provided with 24 hour emergency child care, up to 72 hours, in a safe and nurturing environment designed to protect them from experiences and environments that could harm them. Families may utilize the Maryville Crisis Nursery up to 30 days in a rolling calendar year. The Maryville Crisis Nursery provides families with immediate support, counseling, and referrals to community resources for extended services.

Located on the near Northwest Side of Chicago, the John and Mary Madden Center provides emergency shelter care to pregnant, parenting, and older adolescent young girls, ages 14-20, in an environment that is safe and nurturing. It is designated for emergency placement and short-term stabilization in order to help facilitate an appropriate placement.
