DuPage Intervention, a 39-bed residential program, specializes in substance abuse treatment for 13 to 18 year old adolescent males who need inpatient care.
The highly structured program is based on a therapeutic community model that addresses criminal thinking errors, cognitive and behavioral changes, and the principles of 12-step recovery.
The program provides a safe and healthy environment in which clients can learn and practice sober living skills while examining the issues and barriers that brought them to treatment.
Emphasis is placed on developing a strong aftercare plan, including outpatient counseling, 12-step sponsorship, education and relapse.
