Offers information about starting a family child care home in addition to: ongoing support, training, grants and resources for both family child care home providers and child care center staff to improve program quality. For assistance in finding child care, the YWCA Child Care Resource and Referral can assist families with their child care search through personalized consultations about their needs, customized lists of child care centers and family child care homes and consumer information in order to help evaluate program quality. The Child Care Assistance program processes applications for the Illinois Child Care Assistance Program, which helps income-eligible families afford child care.
